If you are interested in applying to become an articling student at our firm, please review the information and requirements in our Student Program.

Articling applications for the 2025-2026 year are due by June 28, 2024, 5:00pm. Please provide a cover letter, resume, law school and undergraduate transcripts, and letters of reference in one complete pdf file, sent to patrick.shing@millsandmills.ca.

 

Applications for a 2025 summer student position will be considered if received by March 14, 2025.

Articling Student - Claudia Mak

Claudia Mak

Claudia recently graduated from the University of Windsor’s Faculty of Law. She was a summer student at Mills & Mills LLP in 2022 and 2023.

Claudia provided legal advocacy in the community by serving as an externship student at the Reclaim Pro Bono Project, where she conducted community outreach related to the non-consensual disclosure of intimate images. She was an active member of the Windsor Chapter for Pro Bono Students Canada, developing accessible legal information resources for transgender and immigrant communities. Claudia helped users and survivors of the psychiatric system with housing, immigration, and family law issues at the Health Justice Clinic in Mental Health and Addictions.

Prior to attending law school, Claudia obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Waterloo. Her previous work experience spanned a variety of industries and roles with a focus on increasing process efficiency and reliability.

Articling Student - Egor Dubinin

Egor Dubinin

Egor recently completed a professional LLM program in Canadian Common Law at York University’s Osgoode Hall Law School. In addition to this, he holds law degrees from Moscow State University and Geneva University.

Before beginning his legal career in Canada, Egor practiced in civil law jurisdictions with a focus on corporate law. He was involved in negotiating significant franchising projects, advising on sponsorship deals, and drafting contracts for the international supply of various goods, ranging from consumer products to industrial equipment. Egor also has experience in drafting and analyzing financial guarantees, advising on regulatory compliance across different industries, and handling pre-trial dispute resolution.

Beyond his legal interests, Egor is passionate about portrait photography, which he enjoys as a hobby. He also loves cooking for his family and friends, playing tennis in the summer, and skiing in the winter.
