On June 6, 2023, the Canadian Government announced that Citizens of 13 new countries can now use the Canadian electronic travel authorization (eTA) program instead of the requirement of a Canadian visa, provided they have a valid US visa, or if they had a Canadian visa in the last 10 years. The affected countries are:
- Antigua and Barbuda
- Argentina
- Costa Rica
- Morocco
- Panama
- Philippines
- St. Kitts and Nevis
- St. Lucia
- St. Vincent and the Grenadines
- Seychelles
- Thailand
- Trinidad and Tobago
- Uruguay
Note that for entering Canada by land or by water, citizens of those countries would still require a visa.
