Matthew is a recent graduate from York University’s Osgoode Hall Law School. Matthew completed his articles with Mills & Mills LLP and joined the firm as an associate following his call to the Bar in 2024. Prior to joining the firm, he worked as a summer student at a boutique corporate commercial firm.

Matthew’s area of practice is civil litigation with a primary focus on corporate commercial disputes.

Matthew also has an interest in working with not-for-profit organizations. During his years in law school, he volunteered with the Animal Justice Project where he performed research regarding constitutional challenges and standing for intervention in criminal matters. He assisted in building a case for incorporating animals into the existing definition of a protected class.

Matthew has experience preparing arguments that have been heard at all levels of court.

Prior to obtaining his J.D., Matthew attended the Schulich School of Business at York University where he obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration. His primary focus of study was accounting, finance, and marketing. Matthew’s previous work experience include working in accounting, financing, and consulting.

Matthew strives to be an effective and creative advocate for his clients while also considering practical realities.

Matthew is bilingual in English and Cantonese.
