Melissa joined Mills & Mills LLP in 2024 as a LegalShield Associate. She was called to the Bar in 2022. Prior to joining Mills & Mills LLP, Melissa has worked in several boutique law firms, practicing in various jurisdictions wherein she gained experience in Wills, Estates and Estate Administration, Civil Litigation, Employment Law, Small Claims Court, Residential Landlord and Tenant, as well as Business law. Melissa has assisted clients in various practice issues ranging from areas that are broad in nature, such as administration of law to niche areas of law such as frustration of Contracts throughout COVID-19.

Melissa holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce with a Minor in Sociology, from the University of McMaster, as well an Honours Bachleor of Laws from the University of Kent. Having previously volunteered at the Kent Law Clinic, in law school, as well as the Hamilton Community Legal Clinic in their Pro Bono Projects, Melissa takes pleasure in using her expertise in assisting the local community.
